By focusing on key topics such as the GCSCC's new AI Cybersecurity Readiness Metric, the reports "AI and Cybersecurity: Balancing Risks and Rewards" and "Unpacking Cyber Resilience," both developed in collaboration between the GCSCC and the World Economic Forum's Centre on Cybersecurity, the event will provide valuable insights for national policymakers to develop integrated strategies that balance the potential of AI with the necessary safeguards against cyber threats. It will also provide a unique platform for AI and cybersecurity policymakers in LAC to interact with cutting-edge research and practical tools in the rapidly evolving field of AI cybersecurity. The OAS CICTE will foster dialogue on policy harmonization and regional cooperation with regional cybersecurity leaders to strengthen capacities in LAC to leverage AI for enhanced cybersecurity while mitigating associated risks.
